Pre-requisites

1. Valid P3 licence or equivalent
2. Weight between 45-95 kg

ITINERARY

Day 1- Reach Dharamshala, drive to Bir & settle in. Meet your instructor for a briefing and refresher. Practice ground handling.​

​

Day 2- Get back into flying mode. Do a few top-down flights to refresh your muscle memory. Attend theory class about safety, winds and weather science.

​

Day 3-10- Perfect your take-off and landing techniques. Learn kiting and reverse launch. Practice on ground and try your first reverse launch at take-off. Continue theory lessons and safety briefings.

Day 10-20- It's time for some thermalling :)

Get introduced to the art and science of thermalling. Undergo assisted flights as you learn to catch your own thermals. Continue kiting practice in the afternoons. Continue theory lessons and self-study. 

​

Day 20-30- Continue thermalling with more independence. Build more air time as you attempt 1-2 hour flights. Continue theory lessons and self-study. Explore thermals at different ridges and if possible, try your first mini-cross country flight.

​

Day 30- Pack bags and bid goodbye to Bir. Go back home with some great memories, flying videos that will make anyone jealous and most important, a hobby that you can build for life :)

​

Note- Day wise plan will depend on your individual learning curve and weather.

PARAGLIDE TIMING-

A typical day will have flights from around 9am-12pm. Spend afternoons practising kiting on the ground. 
Pursuing the course with WFH is possible. Timings can be made flexible.
Note- Timing is highly volatile and subject to local wind condition.

​

EVENINGS-

Post paragliding, get back to the hotel, refresh and spend the evening walking around the Tibetan colony of Bir. Enjoy a meal of momos and thukpa, explore monasteries, or simply hang around. There are plenty of cafes serving great food and some with live music too :)

THINGS TO KNOW

Price details

1. Price mentioned is per person. If you are travelling solo, you can opt for a personal room at an extra cost. Let us know, we will customise the price for you.

2. Accommodation included is on twin sharing basis in a standard hotel. Basic facilities like running hot water will be provided. 

​

Cancellation/ Rescheduling Policy

We offer a full refund in case of govt imposed restrictions. If you cancel due to personal reasons, then we charge as follows-
If cancelled 4 weeks before, then there will be charge of 2000 pp
If cancelled 2 weeks before, then there will be charge of 5000 pp
If cancelled within 2 weeks, then 10,000 pp
Balance can be either refunded or transferred to another batch, as per your preference.
